Since the school year 2009/2010, in one of our sister schools there is the one and only astronomical observatory, available to all ISG students.
Our main telescope is - an apochromatic refractor TEC 160ED - with a lens diameter of 160 mm and focal length of 1280 mm, produced by the American company Telescope Engineering Company.
The telescope automatically tracks stars' movement, thanks to a machine called New Atlux, produced by Japanese company Vixen. The equipment is completed with a camera, which can take pictures of the sky. Soon, there will be a smaller solar telescope, which will be connected to the main telescope.
In August 2009, the observatory was given the name of professor Robert Głębocki, who was a specialist in astronomy and astrophysics.
