Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world, also in our school. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14. ISG students have been learning about this irrational number by calculating π by themselves and taking part in games and competitions about it, such as Kahoot or trying to remember as many π digits as possible in 3 minutes. Jerzy (grade 9) broke the record -he memorised 38 numbers! Congratulations!
