On September 15, 2003, The Dot – a book written and illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds, was released in the United States. The inconspicuous story, written in a modest language, presents Vashti - a girl who does not believe in her own abilities. Her tale touched the hearts of teachers who read it to their students and talk about the talents that lie dormant in each of us.

The Dot has been translated into several dozen languages, published in Braille, and has become a pretext for organizing a great global campaign - the International Dot Day. The Polish premiere of the book took place in September of 2017. The Dot was also placed on the Golden List of the ABCXXI Foundation.

The book is available in our library for those who haven’t had a chance to read it yet.
